A lot of domestic soccer fans are unaware that CONCACAF has their own Champions League between the various champions of domestic leagues and cup winners.

Here is a goal from Djimi Traore of Seattle (formerly of Liverpool, who signed with Seattle after a pre-season 10 day trial) reliving his glory of the UEFA Champion's League medal he won in 2005 with a screaming goal against Mexico's Tigres in the return game of a quarterfinal round played in Seattle. Down 3-0 on aggregate, Seattle scored 3 goals in the second half to advance and play either Houston or Santos Laguna in the semifinal.

Traore is a good example of how the talent level in MLS has increased dramatically in the last four years. He's battled injuries and was passed around three or four clubs in Europe before being given next to no chance of making the club in Seattle. He played his way on the team. At 32, it looks like he has plenty left in the tank ... MLS needs more Keanes and Traores and fewer Henrys, Castillos, and Lundbergs.
