SIu

Best TU has played in a long time. More energy from players and coaches.

Very good first half, good ball movement on offense. Both teams are shooting very well, it seems almost every open shot was going in.

I expect a more physical, less easy offense second half from both teams.

Ok, up 8 at the half we just need to avoid that end game swoon we’ve been doing. We shot 58% from the floor and 64% from deep that half. That’s some impressive scoring for us. I’m not confident we can keep it up but I’m hoping. SIU dropped down to 46 and 50 after a really hot start. We had 8 assists to only 3 turnovers and that’s an important ratio. We out rebounded them by 2 also. We need to keep it up the second half and I’d like to see more pressure defense.

We’re using our quick hands again today. With that quickness if we pressured the ball more I think we could really turn people over.

You gotta play 40 minutes. We’re up 10 with the ball and a funky shot and a couple of turnovers and it’s a 5 point game again. That’s been our issue all season, we’ll play well and get a lead, often 8 or 9 points then we just lose focus. We’re a good team when we focus and play hard.

SIU coach is a major prick. They flop all the time. No sportsmanship.

Both teams have gone cold. If either team was hot it would either be a blowout or a tie game.

Sadly we should be up by 15 at this point.

Good win. I would like to have seen our efficiency better in the second half but a win is a win.

This team is starting to get it together. Not going to be world beaters but I like the progress as they learn each other. A two or three win run in the conference tournament is not impossible, we will see once we get into conference play

Griffin was our top scorer with 20 while Horne finished with 15. Good games from Dalger (12 and 6) and Heywood (8 and 9 with 2 assists, 2 steals and 0 turnovers).

That win should take us closer to the 200 mark. If it was a road win I would say it would get us under 200. I think we will be about 220 tomorrow

Horne had nothing in that second half. He he could have scored a little in the second half then this game would have been a blowout

Dalger is beginning to be a difference maker....You can tell already that he is an
aggressive player by nature, and has a pretty good looking stroke from outside....
He is one of our best athletes...

Kudos to Haywood too....He was really cleaning the boards when we were having
our mid-second half swoon.....He is shooting it better, and had the coolest assist
of the game......

it looks like we will see more and more of the small ball line-up....It's our best one
overall, but the board crashing teams will be hard to defend......

Overall our best game of the year, and the most entertaining...They are the best
team we have beat....They looked to be very well coached....
