Our new AD Rick Dickson has been the most accommodating to fans of any AD in years. He generally responds to reasonable e-mails quite promptly. Do not expect a precise answer as to whether we change coaches in any sport but understand he appreciates input from all sides. This is a 180 degree turn from my responses (none) from our previous AD.

I think the focus of any email needs to be making sure Athletics at TU has the resources it needs to continue to be competitive in the AAC. Despite not having some of the same advantages our conference brethren do, we continue to be competitive but we could be special with similar resources and facilities, commitment to academic support, recruiting resources, and investment in coaching at all levels. We obviously have talented coaches yet TU isn’t fully funding them at a level to keep them here. Basketball loses quality assistants all the time. Football had great assistant coaches who move on because we do not make the commitment to them. Tom lost his top 2 assistant coaches from last season. Softball lost their head coach not to a bigger program who wanted him to be the HC, but to be an asst. coach. We need to invest in these areas
