If Jaye can start hitting 30-33% from the arc, he can be a great player but until then he may struggle.

I'm excited to see how the guys come together. There's a lot more 3PT shooting than Konkol has had before, hopefully he can use spacing and motion to open things up. He obviously prioritized 3PT in his recruiting, I assume he has a plan for how to use it.
If they are good defenders too and some can penetrate you can do something with that kind of group.

Oddly enough , tougher scheduling doesn't necessarily mean a lot more losses. Maybe a couple extra but there are opportunities for upsets a plenty.
I’ve always been of the opinion that as long as you’re not just completely scheduling yourself to be a traveling patsy… a tougher schedule will help you be more prepared come time for conference play.

Haggerty loses spot at NC STATE. No one wants to pay him. He’s still looking. He seems to be asking for too much money and wants to be a player-coach at PG. If he waits too long he will end up at Rice for 500,000.

Wait, seriously. Did NC State tell him to get bent?

He could go to Texas Tech and play for McCasland and cause a whole lot of issues in the Big XII...and I'm pretty sure they'd pay him.

The latest I heard was Kansas State was leading to sign him. Last year they paid Illinois transfer Coleman Hawkins around $2 mil and he didn’t come close to earning that much. So they must have plenty of cash to offer.
NC State gave Haggerty and his agents an ultimatum and he didn’t accept their offer. Now it seems K-State might be his last option.

If PJ Haggerty signed with Kansas State, it could be interesting to see how well he plays with BIG MAN Marcus Johnson.

K State has signed the MAC player of the year Nate Johnson PG, He was also MAC defensive player of the year and MAC tourney MVP. I’m not even sure Haggerty will beat out this guy to start. Johnson is the real deal was highly sought out of Akron. 2 to 1 assist turnover ration at PG.

It is actually kind of sad and empowered by agents.

College athletic directors have said some agents have been known to shop their athletes without the athletes knowing. Then taking the offer to the athletes for discussion and recommendations to leave their current team.
Those agents also create additional income for themselves.

Apparently he had withdrawn from the NBA draft to go to Kansas State. I am sure someone got to him and told him he wasnt going to make it.
He's a good college player but an honest assessment, he doesn't have enough quickness or lift to defend in the NBA. he could probably flop around like Harden to draw some fouls but he simply lacks NBA athleticism. Maybe it works in one of the lesser Euro leagues but he's not going to be an NBA player. I'll buy a round at JRs for the regulars on the board if he is on an opening day NBA roster when he's done in college.
