These are the guys who hit the portal (transferred) from TU who I felt would have really made an positive impact on the University of Tulsa basketball program had they finished their career here. As you see the list is very small since most players who came to TU, finished here or transferred to lesser schools. These six I feel might have made a real difference.

Jordan Clarkson
Eric McClellan
Will Magnay
Christian Shumate
Bryant Selebangue
P.J. Haggerty

I was amazed at how we kept our best players over the last 45 years and in my opinion only lost about 6.

There is one medical loss that may hurt the worst when we lost Kodi Maduka on the day Manning arrived. He was 5X better than anyone we have inside today.

What about Isaiah Hill.

Didn’t magnay leave TU to play professional ball in Australia? So that’s not a portal player

Who was the big forward Wojcik recruited who transferred to Xavier after his freshman year. He was pretty good too.

I would briefly mention Elijah Joiner and TK Edogi who both transferred as senior graduates and went to the NCAA tournament in their last seasons of eligibility.

Zac Bennett and Jay Spurlock would be all stars on this team.

Back in 1985, Carlton McKinney (SG) transferred to SMU when Nolan left for Arkansas. I'm sure Dave Bliss had some help from "friends of the program". He ended up becoming a 1st-team all SWC player.
