5-2 with losses to Valpo and Kansas. They led KU by as many as 14 in the first half, but a 54-28 second half squashed the upset bid.

Gary Payton II is their best player and shares alot of similarities with Shaq. Good defender, good at getting to the basket, nice rebounding guard. He's a little better jump shooter than Shaq, but not a huge threat from outside.

Tres Tinkle (head coach's son and Rivals Top150) is their biggest addition this year. He came off the bench and hit 5 threes in that first half against KU. Big guy, but likes to hang around the arc. Reminds me a little of Ohio's Kaminski who torched us for a half in the Paradise Jam.

I suspect we'll be a couple point underdogs, but this is a winnable game over a fellow bubble team. And 9-3 gives just a little more slack for AAC play.

They'll play Fullerton at the Moda Center on Friday night, which you could argue gives them the advantage of testing the rims, but I'm not sure it matters. NBA arena, but I expect a pretty small crowd. Oregon State averages about 5000 for non-conference home games in Corvallis and they're the 3rd stepchild in Portland. I got my tickets for $5 each on Stubhub. Looking forward to this one.

Also, they play tonight against Cal State Fullerton, then us tomorrow. A 24 hr. turnaround is pretty tough on players, and doesn't leave tons of time to prepare (we've had all week).

I can't say I've seen many teams schedule back to back games like this.

Also, I just did some simple stats, OSUw scores 13.75 ppg from FT's, 22.5 ppg from 3's, and 36.75 ppg from normal baskets. My solution would therefore be, IF YOUR NAME ISN'T SHAQ, JAMES, BRANDON, or DRE, you foul them when they drive. If they're shooting percentages hold, and we took away / altered 5 FG attempts and replaced them with 2 FT's... you would drop their scoring numbers by 4 points. Of course there's tons more nuance to the game than that... but statistically, that would win us the game if we are able to score as we normally do.

Gary Payton II is a very good college basketball player. Otherwise, they are a typical middle of the pack big conference team. They do some things well (3 pt shooting and 3 pt defense) and have some big weaknesses (too many turnovers, too few turnovers caused, mediocre rebounders). Against KU, they took a big first half lead because they hit their first 7 threes and they played pretty solid defense. Once they started missing some shots, their defense fell apart as well.

I thought that elementary school campus in Stillwater that Eddie Sutton watered turned out to be a tinkleless campus.

Guys, I think Phoggy is mad. Everyone give him a hug.

Not mad at all. It is a little strange how obsessed you are with me. But whatever makes you happy.

I'm obsessed with Wichita Stata, brau. And I look forward to your awesome commentary about them. But we had this discussion about your fulfilling life a couple of weeks back.

We did. And you continue to have a comment for everything I post. Obsessed.

Dood, have a sense of humor. Your responses are turrible.

I think that is supposed to be a joke but I do not really get why it should be funny.
