I always thought Janko could go to a costume party in a suit and a name tag "Norman Osborne" (aka The Green Goblin). The guy looks a lot like Dafoe in the original reboot of Spiderman.
I think Larry Brown calls timeout and gets a touch to his best player, the Duke transfer. Jank blew this one.
I picked USC in my bracket...they beat SMU early in the season.
They are an extremely weird team. I saw them play a few times...they either (1) look like a top 5 team, or (2) look like a poor version of South Florida.
I watched them go "toe to toe" with UCLA in the PAC-12 tourney. If the good USC team shows up, they could do major damage in the tourney.

If anyone has watched any of the Marquette-South Carolina game, I swear Wojcik was coaching Marquette. Instead it's Chris Wojiechowski but when he gets fired up he stomps around the coaching box just like DW and from a cross-court camera angle, spitting image of those good ol DW days. Matter of fact on of

You want Jankovich to leave SMU? Explain. As many others have said, I too think Jankovich coached a horrible game yesterday. I was at the game, and the lack of preparedness for the last 5 minutes was evident. Not only that, the lack of a TO on the last possession was crucial. I think SMU got screwed with their seed. I've seen people on Twitter/other message boards say how SMU was the superior team talent wise yesterday. I'm not so sure I agree with that, besides Semi. DraftExpress projects 3 USC players taken in the 2018 NBA draft: PF Metu (#4) at the 16th pick, SG Melton (#22) at the 18th pick, SG Stewart (#30...corner 3's) at the 44th spot. That's not even mentioning their leading scorer, Boatwright, who is an NBA prospect too. Talent wise, it was either equal, or leaned towards USC. The X factor was the coaches, and clearly Jank lost that one. I think he'll have another talented squad next year, but I think SMU will slowly slide back into their place, which is mid to lower part of conference. Much thanks to Jankovich. So, would you rather him stay at SMU, further cementing their fate...or you would rather him move on, and they hire someone better?
I can't imagine the agony of being an SMU fan. 2 out of last 3 years; conference champions, yet not a single NCAA win.
Maybe they hire somebody better, maybe they can't get anybody better. I would love it if OSU hired Jankovich, and SMU hired another failure. The main thing I want to end is this recruiting pipeline into Tulsa. For that to happen Jankovich must go.

Though there has been recent stuff that I have heard about and don't doubt. I am not referencing that stuff. I have seen and heard him at TU games as a player over the last couple of years. I assume the stuff I heard about is just a continuation...
Who had a more miserable weekend, SMU or OSU ? I think Underwood's quick exit pushed OSU's misery index past SMU, & into first place.
His hatred was almost giddy when he was attending the SMU game as an SMU recruit. IMO his taunting goes way, way beyond the boos and beyond the opposing team aspect. He has a personal deal against Tulsa, and he needs to drop off of the face of Tulsa recruiting. This will happen if Jankovich goes somewhere else.
which was why it was so sweet to see Milton brick the game losing shot here in Town. I was ecstatic which made no sense because I knew it hurt the league and TU's share of NCAA dough. But, the psychic payback of watching the SMU chanting preppies go silent was worth it.

Anyone watching WSU/Kentucky? I expect better reffing at this level. Missed an easy goaltend on Kentucky then Nurger gets mugged by three wildcats on a rebound and it's play on.
The officials seem content to let Wichita St. get away with traveling and let Kentucky get away with hammering them
Except that the worst call so far in the tourney went against a Big10 school in favor of a mid-major. I might argue if there's a bias it might be in favor of the top seeds.
Arkansas losses a 5 pt lead with under 3 mins left, as UNC finishes with a 12-0 run to win 72-65.
Me and Ash's perfect bracket just got broken with that UNC win over Arky. I mean 43 straight till UNC started breaking Arky's zone with skip passes. Who would have thought.

I think Edsall may be retired. Derosa is respected by the guys in that forum, but I think he has some psychological issues. He was suspended from the NBA for throwing a ball at a fan. He tried to start a riot during our last game of the year.

My bracket was broken after the 'Nova loss. After the selection show the talking heads were giving their final four picks and one said there would be three ACC teams and it would be a repeat of the conference tourney. Now there is only one ACC team left and they barely escaped the hogs. That's one real problem with the current system. A conference is assumed to be great, they play winnable games OOC, then they beat up on each other and everyone gets into the tourney while the ISU's of the world go to the NIT.
You can't force "power conference" teams to play teams like Illinois State but if a team tries to schedule but can't get games I would give them the benefit of the doubt over a high loss major conference team. For example, I would have taken Illinois State every time over a 15 loss Vanderbilt team.
And UNC needed some shady baby-blue officiating to get past that. The ACC is perceived as great because of ESPN, Jay Bilas, Dick Vitale, and Andy Katz. People were crying that Syracuse didn't get in. I didn't think Wake Forest deserved a bid either. Vandy was awful and shouldn't have gotten a bid out of the SEC. At least the rest of the SEC played out though...Florida, Kentucky, and So Carolina all through to the sweet 16, Arkansas played toe to toe with Carolina and finished that last 3.5 minutes at 5 v 8. There almost seems to be a bias built into the power indexes that take into account previous years performance. How Duke was a #2 seed when at best they were a #5 save for a 3-4 game stretch in their conference tournament.
