Still don't understand how we didn't offer Jacobs. Would definitely have solved our short yardage issues. I wonder if our coaching staff didn't believe he would make the grades, or they simply did not evaluate him well enough, as many others failed to do as well. For those that don't know, this Tulsa McClain product made his first start this past week vs. Kentucky at running back as a true Freshman, for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Had we offered early and got him to commit when he only had offers from Wyoming and New Mexico State, Alabama may not have come calling like they did late in the recruiting process.
