reason we can’t keep a great coach for years. Every great coach including Nolan Bill Self Tubby Smith all hall of famers left us for Bigger jobs and more money. Every lessor coach with winning teams also bolted for bigger schools. We have been very fortunate to be a stepping stone job and had good coaches every time we were successful even though it puts us always looking for a new coach in a few years after success and trying to fire losing coaches or non relevant coaches leaving us wanting them gone fill in the blank for that list If just one of our hall of fame coaches had stayed we might be ranked 1 like Gonzaga because we were Gonzaga before they were relevant. Sorry if I sound like Captain Obvious but it’s something to think about as we trash our coaches every year.
