is next Saturday. When is TU going to tell us the time of this game, for those of us that can't wait to see the Bball team. I assume it's 30 minutes after the UCF football game, but when will TU confirm?

Per @TUMBasketball on Twitter:

@TUMBasketball: The #TulsaMBB exhibition game on Nov. 7 vs Haskell Indian Nations will be at 4:00 pm. Will follow #TulsaFB game vs UCF at 11 am #TulsaRISING

thanks looking forward to back-to-back football and basketball victories on Saturday

I heard the FB game is at 11:00am (TV time) and the MBB game is at 4:00pm. If that's correct, it gives everyone time to grab a bite to eat after the FB game and head to the Don.

At 6pm TU also hosts an AAC Tournament soccer quarterfinal against some opponent that wasn't named yet.

I got an e mail from ORU this AM. ORU opens with Rogers State tonight; TU plays them for its second exhibition next week. Early score comparisons are always sketchy, but it should be interesting.

ORU 82 RSU 74, ORU trailed 61-56. RSU is a good team.

RSU has been good for some time at NAIA and then D-II levels. I believe they were ranked #1 in NAIA just before the jump to D-II. They have kids who can play the game. Biggest issue for them is depth and size. Generally don't get the 6'10" board controllers at the lower levels.

RSU is a gritty bunch. And, mostly all junior's and senior's.

Couple the fact that ORU has two major contributors from last year still out with injury and our best player (Emegano) just back from shoulder surgery, and it was a struggle.

We are VERY young and inexperienced this year. I have a feeling that December 5th at the DonRey is going to be ugly for the Golden Eagles...

All TU fans like the fact that it is not the season opening game this year. Never know what you're gonna get.

Honestly, TU would have a HUGE advantage this season, if the ORU game was the first one.

That said, I don't think it's going to matter. With us being so young and small across the front line, plus the fact that we've won the past two, I could see TU's experienced group laying an EPIC beat-down on ORU.

If we keep it within 20, I'll be shocked.

That is like 180 from where you were last year on this game. Still not sure why Sutton cuts so many kids loose each year.

I ran into the RSU coach at an auto parts store last week when the bus was here for the women's team game with TU. He said the women's team was far and away better than the men's team this year. Anybody know the score with the women's team?

Coach Mossman is going to have a very strong team this year, one that should be in the mix for an NCAA bid. Ashley Clark is as good a 1v1 player that I have seen at TU.

They hired their coach Wednesday?

Well that's... Interesting. Did their previous coach leave or get fired? I'm confused how they're 0-3 and just hired their coach on Wednesday.

I didn't ask, but I got the impression the guy I talked to was the coach for men's and women's. If so, I wonder if he was the old or the new. Didn't get his name, would have to see a picture.

We are actually talking about the Haskell coach not RSU coach.

Oops, wasn't paying attention! Ignore that last bumblebutt comment.
