The Tulsa Golden Hurricane and UConn Huskies meet Saturday in college football action at Rentschler Field.

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane look for back-to-back wins for the first time this season to rebound from a 2-5 record. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane have lost five of their last seven road games. Chad President is completing 56.3 percent of his passes for 809 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. President and Luke Skipper have combined for four touchdown passes and three interceptions this season. Justin Hobbs and Keenen Johnson have combined for 861 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Josh Stewart has 11 receptions. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane ground game is averaging 271.7 yards per contest, and D'Angelo Brewer leads the way with 824 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively, Tulsa is allowing 40.1 points and 561.3 yards per game. McKinley Whitfield leads the Tulsa Golden Hurricane with 66 tackles, Jeremy Smith has five sacks and Craig Suits has two interceptions.

The UConn Huskies also look for back-to-back wins for the first time to climb out of a 2-4 hole. The UConn Huskies have lost six of their last eight home games. Bryant Shirreffs is completing 66.3 percent of his passes for 1,580 yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. Shirreffs has two or more touchdown passes in six of his last 10 games. Arkeel Newsome and Aaron McLean have combined for 579 receiving yards and three touchdowns while Hergy Mayala has 15 receptions. The UConn Huskies ground game is averaging 142.5 yards per contest, and Nate Hopkins leads the way with 251 yards and six touchdowns. Defensively, UConn is allowing 40.3 points and 558.5 yards per game. Junior Joseph leads the UConn Huskies with 56 tackles, Cole Ormsby has four sacks and Tyler Coyle has two interceptions.

The Golden Hurricane are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 conference games, 13-4 ATS in their last 17 road games and 1-4 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The Huskies are 5-17-1 ATS in their last 23 home games, 8-20 ATS in their last 28 conference games and 15-40-1 ATS in their last 56 games overall. The over is 4-1 in Huskies last 5 games overall and the over is 17-8 in Golden Hurricane last 25 games overall.

I would seriously look for the over once it's released, as East Carolina is the only team in the country allowing more yards per game than these two schools. Tulsa is ranked 129th in yards allowed and UConn is ranked 128th. This game is likely going to take five hours to finish. That's kind of why I'm leaning towards UConn and the points, as it's always nice to have an extra score in your back pocket in a game where stops are going to tough to come by. Also, UConn is coming off possibly the best win between these two schools with a road victory over Temple despite being a double-digit point underdog. I want the points if forced to pick in this contest.
