Good win. This team has some talent and can win when they're locked in and focused. The problem is that focus and determination didn't show up enough throughout the season. It's inexplicable how this team beat Wichita State 2x and Temple now, but disappeared on the road and lost to Rice 2x.
I still think TU needs to move on from Konkol at the conclusion of the season. I just don't see any drastic improvements or changes in recruiting or the players we're going after to really see a light at the other end where we are competitive with the top of the conference and at least playing for a post season berth in the NCAA or NIT...and really that should be the goal every year.
BTW, I really like Smikle as a player. He plays so hard but he also has a bit of control to his game which is sometimes lacking in FR.
