This coming weekend, Tulsa Football will add an interesting player to its roster. Former Division II college basketball forward Jordan Rodriguez is set to join the Golden Hurricane as a tight end. And he’s only been playing football for eight months.

I think they were trying to snag him up before lots of other colleges started recruiting him. South Florida, Army, Fresno State and Florida coaches all watched him workout at camps this summer. He was originally going to play at Dodge and then sign in December 2018, but TU got ahead of everyone and brought him in for this semester.

So, the current roster shows TU with 5 TE's. There must be a new importance on this position besides just blocking or will there will be possible position changes in the spring.

Not sure exactly, but with Rodriguez's size and frame, he could probably play on the line if he added weight/muscle.
