Fire him TOMORROW!

Geez if only there was someone in the school who was responsible for sports teams and revenue generation/sports donations to make it easier for the President to have his attention on other things.

These are excuses. Brad has said he understands that TU athletics is the front door to the University for the vast majority of Tulsa, but we are still not acting like it.

Amazing how our applications increase and the overall level of our applicants rise when we have athletic success. More amazing is how little this small private university is thought about when we are bad at sportsball.

The AD isn't in the middle east and only has one focus. TU again is dropping the ball and every poster here should be pissed.
Go back to the conference boards.

Everyone just needs to calm down. I truly believe we have a great AD and President that will do what is necessary for the program to be successful.

How can we say that we have a great AD when he really hasn’t done anything yet. I guess he did get us a home game with Oregon State but they took a big assist from La Tech to get worked out.

I’m curious as well. He may end up being a great AD but that opinion seems solely based on hope and blue and gold glasses. The fact he was let go by A&M does give me pause. Hoping for the best here. Our athletic programs across the board do not appear to be in good shape. Moore has a lot of work to do.

I am not suggesting in any way we not make a change but the it must be now vs the end of the season is not relevant. The networking with search firms would have already begun. No coach will be hired or announced until after the regular season unless it is someone currently not coaching (we aren’t getting Saban anyway). Those planning to sign with TU are likely aware the coach is on the hot seat. Those we may want but haven’t committed have until February anyway. Current players will know in time to make their portal decisions. If it happens, I think it will, it likely will be following the FAU game.

For anyone who had Kinne on their bingo card, he’s out.

From Pete Thamel:

Sources: Texas State has agreed to a new seven-year contract with coach GJ Kinne. The contract averages $2 million per year for seven years, with the potential for bonuses to add to that. It runs through the 2031 season.

Does not exclude him from anything. But no need to fixate on alums.

He’s 12-9 as a G-5 coach. Very nice pay day.

go get Brian Kelly when LSU fires him
The guy that had his backup QB throw into the endzone for an interception with under a minute when all he needed was a FG to win? Just messing around we had already blocked a couple of kicks. 😉

I keep waking up everyday and it's "Fire him tomorrow"... I guess you guys want him forever!!!! Never put off tomorrow what you can do today!
Looks like the message board pundits have a two year window and if things go south then fire the coach !
Same as OSU fans clamoring for Gundy's dismissal and OU's problem with Venables , all three teams
have lousy offensive lines . Hell , TU plays a true freshman at left tackle and a redshirt freshman at
center, plus if the upper classmen were any good the majority of the true freshmen would have been
redshirted . We are talking about 18 year old players going against 21 & 22 year olds , I think they have
done a credible job

The young player and especially the o-line are fair points.

My major issues though are related to coaching and management. Great leaders do not micro-manage they hire strong people and ensure those people understand what is expected and allow those people to do their job. Wilson has tried to run the offense and without success. You can’t be HC and OC, it’s the same issue (just one of many) I had with Monty. The second issue is in most games our competitors made better in game and halftime adjustments. The obvious exception was UTSA. The final point is we haven’t progressed week to week with the UAB to ECU (bye week) exception.

If I saw better in game and week to week improvement I wouldn’t be as critical.
