I recall several posters denying government led censorship was occurring. Ironic some of the folks on this board were simply taking their lead from our federal government. Do they still believe this type of censorship and attacks have a place in our society? They have yet to admit they were wrong. Guys….it’s time to eat your crow.

Zeynep Tufecki has been a source of many of my posts which posters here have ignored except now when it can be used to support someone's particular conspiracy theory. She is thoughtful , thorough and has recently postied a number of warnings about risks, particularly avian flu, which are being ignored.
As for Wuhan, I have no opinion as to what was the source of the virus. The argument that some people in a enormous organization had motives that led to selfserving actions is different from proving the source of the virus. Unfortunately, the politics of the issue have polarized attempts at a discussion into a series of accusatory rants. Hopefully the scrutiny will reduce the risk sin the future, but this question is going the way of the "who killed JFK".

The only thing that would matter, would be if we got an honest answer, and reliable promises from China that they would try to stop it from happening again. with changes in their labs policies. Most scientists didn't say let herd immunity take care of it. They said that herd immunity would help later on, but it wouldn't be the solution immediately, and might not be the sole solution in the future At least that's what I heard on reliable outlets in the media. Most of the dictates scientists made weren't as absolute as this.

He wants to pretend that it could be the sole solution to handle it when or if it happens. I don't know if the bird flu vaccine, if they create one, would stop the disease. But there is no reason to curtail scientists from creating one, or rely on RFK's advice and count on heard immunity to solve the problem. That is just stupid. The ignorance of his advice is he isn't even a scientist. He has never, ever created vaccines, or done anything in a lab. All he has done is use idiotic flawed studies that were proven wrong ages before he used them, to refute vaccines. He's never been a Dr or a biomedical scientist in any of his studies or jobs.

My position on a Covid from the beginning was to concentrate and focus resources and efforts to protect the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions which places them at risk rather than treat everyone with the same broad based mitigation plan. We will probably never know if that would have been a preferable plan.
