DL linemen

Hopefully Moore and Lamb are trying to get out in front anticipating the next changes coming in terms of NIL and transfers, etc., like NIL contracts that are more than a year. We could be on the front foot on that (it's headed in that way). We've always had ADs who were reactionaries to what was happening (maybe Bubba was an exception). Because TU is small and every dime matters, TU has always taken a very conservative wait and see approach...even with it's coaching hires. TU has always waited maybe a year or even two longer to act on a coaching move because they were more concerned with the buyout $ than righting the ship.

In this landscape, you need to be visionary, able to predict what's going to come, and be willing to take some risks to set yourself up for success.
This year's football move was the first in any sport recently to be proactive rather than wait till the product died on the vine.

I agree. And I think Moore is doing a lot behind the scenes that is more proactive than we've seen from TU admin in the past. We'll see what the next two years brings but I think it will at least be a positive vibe and atmosphere around the athletic dept. of what are we going to accomplish next instead of the "how will we ever compete in this environment." You can't just be positive in front of cameras and reporters because if when you leave that press room you turn into the "woe is me" guy, you're not going to win or accomplish jack.
