Is now open at 71st and Mingo. It's pretty damn big. While it doesn't have a ferris wheel or candy shoppe like Scheel's, it does better at some different things than what Scheel's offers. There's not as many water sports things and no gun sales that I could see. They do have better golf and soccer sections and they have a pretty robust fan section with large OU, OSU, Thunder, Cowboys, & Chiefs sections. The TU and ORU sections are moderate at best. They do have Tulsa Oilers gear so when Spring rolls around I wouldn't be surprised if they offer up some FC Tulsa and Tulsa Drillers gear. They do have a small competitive swim section offering higher end TYR and Speedo goggles and racing swimsuits than what you normally see at Dick's or Academy. They also have pretty robust baseball, softball, lacrosse and tennis/pickleball sections that aren't so crammed into the same space like at the old location. The shoe selection is also off the charts for both men and women.
I'm not sad about not having the outdoor section. Tulsa's REi opens in a week and I think that's going to steal a majority of the outdoor market (between them and Sun & Ski).
