Just when I thought we might be in a two, maybe three team race for Hutch PF Deshawn Freeman, it appears he's visiting Va Tech this weekend. Buzz Williams is a great recruiter and with this visit Tech might become the favorite. He's already officially visited Rutgers and Arizona St. Rutgers has been on him the longest and Arizona St appeared to fall out of the race after the firing of Herb Sendek. However new Arizona St coach Bobby Hurley and an assistant went to Hutch recently to see him and have come back into the race.
With Ahmed Mohamed visiting Wash St and Wichita St the next 2 weekends, it seems out best bets may be Freeman and Jacksonville CC's 7-footer Johnny Hamilton. I can't believe we will not get some inside help for next year. The commitment of the 2 visitors this weekend would give us a big jump start to the 2016 class, but to get the most out of our upcoming senior laden squad, we need a productive big or need drastic improvements from Edigi, Wright, Swannegan and Smith, or both. Edogi, yes, the others ???
