I believe that if Wilson is able to put a winning team on the field the rest will take care of itself. He certainly has been an integral part of putting many players into the league. I'd take winning over draft picks any day....Will be interesting to see if we can still attract this quality of player under the new regime. Monty didn’t have a ton of on field success… but his kids were going to the league left and right.
There’s growing speculation he is going to end up a 1st/2nd round pick. Let’s go Prince!!
We should get higher level QBs for sure. Wilson has proven his QBs go to the league. Justin Fields, Stroud this year, the OU QBs he's mentored, and even the Indiana QB that was lighting things up under him. And that should feed the WR pool as well since good QBs often showcase their WRs as well. Will be interesting to see if we can still attract this quality of player under the new regime. 15 years ago he might have ended up a sure fire 1st day guy (rds 1-3). Now the NFL doesn't value the RB position as much since most of the guys in the league can gain you 75 yds rushing most days. Now only the true game changers are 1st/2nd round guys. The McCaffrey's, Nick Chubb, etc. This is why the Giants slow played their negotiations with Barkley. Teams are able to find late round RBs or even the Rookie FA signings that don't break the bank but are really good players (see Austin Ekeler; Tony Pollard (4th round). I think Prince will get drafted and contribute to a team as my understanding is he's shown a higher level of ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. Since he's a pretty good blocker, that makes him a true 3 down back and that's what teams want since it saves them a roster spot. There’s growing speculation he is going to end up a 1st/2nd round pick. Yeah I’m not sure he’ll end up in those rounds because RBs aren’t valued like they used to be. I think he’s got a shot because he’s been impressing with his receiving abilities leading up to the draft.15 years ago he might have ended up a sure fire 1st day guy (rds 1-3). Uh, ESPN, maybe not so much...
Yet more wasted talent under the previous staff. Really stunning to consider how they did so little with so much. There’s growing speculation he is going to end up a 1st/2nd round pick. Let’s go Prince!!
