Auburn and Creighton win play in games.
Live RPI moves up 1 to 46
Miami and Texas beat sub 150 teams avoiding
elimination but not off the bubble.
Not over yet for TU.

Read a comment on the ESPN bubblewatch page that calculated the likely number of bids available bubble teams. Supposedly there should be right around 7 bids open to teams that are not considered "Locks" or should be in... assuming there's no big upsets in the conference tourneys. (Like UCONN)

Need Ole Miss, Tex A&M, Indiana or Illinois to lose today.

CBS has Tex A&M in as last four.

I realize our resume isn't the best but I really think it is better than A&M.

GO TU!!!!

Looking at the ESPN projected bracket, 7 non-locks seems about right. The six #11 seeds and OSU. You may be able to throw 1 more in there but that seems about right. That also assumes there are no big upset winners in the conference tournaments.

Besides their 9-9 record in the B-10 I didn't understand the love.

Has every .500 or above B-10 team always been included in the Tourney?

Lets go Auburn and Middle Tennessee

GO TU!!!

Iowa drops from 37 to 46 with a loss to Penn State, but they're probably still in based on wins over North Carolina and Maryland.

St John's gets hammered by Providence and they're in the clubhouse at 41. That's another team that's probably safe, but the bad loss to 194 Depaul doesn't help their case.

This would be a double whammy. Let's go, Auburn!!!

This game is ridiculous. Auburn needs to quit taking threes with 30 seconds left on shot clock.

Gotta move out of the first 4 out group first!

First Four Out

Miami (FL)

Old Dominion (lost to MTSU in C-USA Quarterfinals)

Tulsa

Texas A&M (lost to Auburn in SEC Quarterfinals)

MTSU 59
ODU 52 (FINAL)

Notre Dame
Miami (8pm CST, ESPN)

Auburn 66
Texas A&M 59 (Final)

*** Auburn picking up another win will also help TU's RPI ***

A lot of these games deserve a double loss. I guess it's nice to get rid of the team's near us in line, but we really need help by those in front of us.

True, ODU and Miami move into the last 4 if they win today. There's a chance TU passes them and moves into the last 4 in if Miami and ODU fail to make the semi's of their tourneys.

A&M is ahead of us in Palm's bracket. Tulsa is the first team out as soon as the Auburn game goes final we will be in Palm's bracket.

GO TU!!!!

Put a fork in ODB.

How did ECU struggle with UCF?

They did the usual super first half antics followed by the second half melt.

Line was -3.

Gotta move out of the first 4 out group first!

Yes! Need UCLA to lose as they are the only "Next 4 out" still playing.

Definately need Texas and Miami to lose tonight. It would also help if Indiana was to lose to Northwestern.

Texas vs Iowa State (6 pm, ESPNU)
Miami vs Notre Dame (8 pm, ESPN)

If both lose, a win tomorrow probably puts TU back on the right side of the bubble.

TX

First 4 out (updated): 5:20 pm CST

per ESPN bottom line

Miami
Tulsa
UCLA
Old Dominion

Texas and Indiana are still the last 2 in the field per Joey brackets.

Need to be Notre Dame Northwestern, and Iowa State fans tonight.

We're we this close in 2001?

I seem to remember us either being locks or having to win the tourney in the last 20 years. Not a lot of bubble craziness like this year...

FWIW, Lunardi has Oklahoma State as a last four in.

But I don't think a loss to OU knocks them out.
