Awesome win

Great win......keep it going!
Lousy win, but we'll darn sure take it. For the kids it's great, but for the fanbase, it continued to confirm many of our concerns. Our players deserved this one, especially our QB who was sat on his arse too many times today. Kids going to be sore...

He's an OSU Cowboy fan who roots for TU as I recall. Thanks, sir
I keep getting my cowboys mixed up.
I knew that, but got all con-fused with the northern Cowboys coming in and all.

Not that you're not nice and such, but now that the games over, go away wyoming fans whose names are something or other cowboy. I gotta get straight whether we're talking to aggie cowboys or not.

Where did all the Wyoming fans come from today?

I met 4 that now live in Tulsa. I’m sure the oil business has brought some this direction. Very good Wyoming crowd. They are excited about their team this season.

Everyone on this board can see that our Offensive line is average . What amazes me is the lack of antispation of all the blitzing and no calls to nullify the rush.

I don’t know about “no calls” we finally tried a HB screen, it just so happened to be tipped at the line. We threw several quick slants when they blitzed. I certainly think we need to do better, but you can’t call a screen pass on ever blitz play. They won’t work.

I think we successfully completed one earlier in the game as well that went for about 15-20 yards

The end of 1st half and the second half we did much better with mixing it up and calling a couple different screens (HB and Bubble), quick slants, and a few quick out routes.

Still too predictable in the play calling, we also struggled with getting a throwing angle on the screens, Wyoming recognized a couple, but a pump fake worked well on the double screen. Smith will have to get better at just getting the ball to his back somehow and Monty will have to do a better job of mixing up play calls early and through out a drive to make it harder on the defense.

I saw some positives, but still lots of bad series.

We rarely run a jet sweep in our packages and when we do, it seems to always go to the wide receiver running the sweep. I would like to see it implemented more often in the RPO, but mostly as a decoy so the linebackers have to honor it. Even if its merely a split second delay, I think it will increase our success running between the tackles.

Average at best... Average doesn't let the QB end up on his arse 7 times nor allow him to be hit the number of times Smith was. I'm not sure we have the ability to pick up the blitz, or if it's just the coaching staff being stubborn and not making the adjustments necessary to protect him. If we don't find a way to protect Smith he's not going to last much longer. The law of averages is going to catch up and he's going to be carted off on a stretcher. Meaning a line that can't protect, with a backup QB under center that isn't going to give us a chance to win games.

A lot of those hits and sacks were due to having an empty backfield.

Bottom line is the O-Line isn't doing THEIR JOB . I've seen our right guard go down flat on his back . TU has had very good offensive linemen in the past and this bunch is hurting the team . Given a few more seconds this quarterback can riddle any secondary on the schedule .

I agree with all of the above and then some! After seeing Zach Smith throw the ball, we can beat anyone we face , PERIOD! Somebody needs to block for him before this can happen! We have great receivers and running backs so why can't we find a few blockers to block for the QBS?

If Monty were worth keeping he would get out there and block for our lineman himself!

Jester, I think I gave you my UNT tickets for the game where TU crushed 54-?
You were a big guy but I could be wrong but maybe not 67 350. Damn, if so, I would like to ask Monty to give you a scholly ha
