3-star Duncanville (TX) offensive lineman Desean Bryant Jr. committed to Baylor in August of 2023, but after checking out a number of other programs – including Tulsa – he decommitted from the Bears in early April.

The 6-foot-4 and 250-pounder was in Tulsa in March for a junior day, and he was able to watch spring practice.

The Tulsa Football program was extremely busy in June, welcoming incoming freshmen, holding prospect camps and hosting approximately 25 recruits from the 2025 class for official visits. The Hurricane picked up its first 8 commitments and should get several more over the July 4th holiday.

After racking up 10 scholarship offers, 6-foot-4 and 220-pound tight end Jackson Shockley ultimately decided that Tulsa was his best fit at the next level. The Denton (TX) Guyer product gave Hurricane coaches a verbal commitment on June 23 and announced his decision over the July 4 holiday.

At 6-foot-4 and 305-pounds, Javion Antai, is an imposing figure on the offensive line, but he’s also been a big name in recruiting circles, picking up scholarship offers from Oklahoma State, TCU, Kansas State, Cal, North Texas, UTEP and Tulsa.

In the end, the 3-star Jenks (OK) lineman chose the Golden Hurricane after his official visit on the weekend of June 21, marking another big get for TU -- both in size and impact.

The recruiting process began early for Putnam City (OK) linebacker and edge rusher Brayden Knox. His first scholarship offer came from Indiana in January of 2023, followed by offers from Tulsa, North Texas, Nevada, Kent State, Arkansas State, Army, Dartmouth and others.

With his senior season approaching, the 6-foot-3 and 230-pounder took official visits to Kent State on June 7 and Tulsa on June 21, ultimately deciding to become a Golden Hurricane.

Despite racking up 13 scholarship offers, The Woodlands (TX) wide receiver Shane Walker still seems like a hidden gem. He didn’t put up huge numbers as a junior due to playing with two broken fingers, but he’s an electric playmaker with big-play potential every time he touches the ball. It’s easy to see why he picked up offers from Tulsa, San Diego State, Texas State, North Texas, Louisiana Tech, Arkansas State and several others.

In the end, Walker committed to Tulsa after an official visit in late June.

Bryan (TX) Rudder athlete Jaquise Martin chose TU on Wednesday over offers from Nebraska, Texas Tech, New Mexico, UTEP, Texas State, Arkansas State and others. The 6-foot, 190-pounder visited the Tulsa campus in March for spring practice and again in June, developing a strong bond with TU receivers coach Ryan Switzer.
