Coach Mike Leach Hospitalized

I know this has nothing to do with Tulsa at all. But this is a guy who had some of the most interesting press conferences and takes I’ve ever seen or heard. He is such an interesting person.

According to the MSU 24/7 board his situation is dire and needs a miracle to pull through. The guy is truly a legend and seems like a genuinely good person. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Inside Tulsa Basketball video show

New concept this year, the coaches shows will be more "inside" oriented, with fewer "coaches talking over highlights". It will be on the website and on the Tulsa Athletics YouTube channel almost every week. First show was a tour of the TU locker room. Here is installment two of "Inside Tulsa Basketball" as we look at TU's Basketball weight room:

Retaining players and some staff is...

...a good idea. We seemed close to being very good for several years running but the same dumbass issues kept getting in the way. Those issues seem to have been related to leadership and tactics.

All in all I like that approach. Surely there will be coaching changes but he seemed like a straight up guy so expect he could retain several coaches based on his rhetoric.

Man, Marjorie Taylor Greene's ego is oversized for her following.

Suddenly she thinks she's bigger than Trump. Complaining that if the Republican establishment let her stump for Walker he would have beat Warnock. Saying if she organized Jan 6 'we' would have won. Won, as in succeeded in overthrowing the government with bloodshed.(She wanted to arm them, with guns I assume.) She really needs to be out of congress. Have we ever had anybody in congress who so brazenly advocated the overthrow of the government?

Central Arkansas game thoughts

The women had another convincing win this afternoon, 95 - 51.

59% from the field, 58% from 3 point range.
A number of players scoring in double figures.
Periman had 9 rebounds and Bittle had 6 assists.

Towards the end of the game there were 4 freshmen and 1 sophomore in the lineup.

More fans need to see the women play at their home games. They are very entertaining and deserve more support at their games.

11th FBS Conference?

Apparently the A-Sun and the WAC are combining their remaining teams and requesting a move to the FBS. I had forgotten that the WAC dropped football. When they instituted football again they had to play in the FCS. According to the article it seems that this will be tough but not impossible. FCS teams go through a 2 year transition and have to be invited by an FBS conference. This will be a whole conference moving up. I see something similar to where they are ineligible for post season for at least two years. Since it is a whole conference I would think they would expand that period to up to 5 years. Those are my thoughts.
