I often wonder how much of the OSU/OU "fan bases" have ever been on campus for anything other than athletics. Lol
The ones that have likely wouldn’t comment.
I had two friends attend the 23 OU game. One an OU grad the other a OSU grad. They attended tailgates and went to the game. They both commented they were surprised how nice it was especially considering what they had heard. Both said the pre-game was unbelievable and the stadium itself while not modern was well maintained and the food options from the vendors in the game were very good. This year I gave tickets to the OSU game to relatives that are diehard OSU fans, although one husband graduated from OU Medical school. They all had virtually the same comments.
PS the Dr from OU and his wife (diehard her family OSU fans/graduate’s) chose to send their daughter to TU. A Freshmen this year with choice of full academic scholarships to TU, OU and several other private schools.
Most of them couldn't find Norman or Stillwater on a map
I have had this experience as well. Our visitors always end up enjoying their time here.
