My choices to avoid:

1. Cincinnati- tough match up for us . An NCAA team for sure IMHO
2. UCONN- the same- tough match up. Brimah getting stronger
3. Memphis- much better athletes than us inside-
4. Temple- We play well here we win - need them to beat Cincy or UCONN
5. Houston- Dangerous but we are better-
6. UCF- Dangerous because at home
7. ECU- we would have to be off to lose
8. USF- haven't played them yet ???
9. Tulane - should win anytime here.

We threaded the needle two years ago in who we needed to play each game. Hard to see that happening again.

You pretty much captured what I would think is a consensus of the board.

I would drop Memphis to #5, and move Houston and temple up one spot. I reserve the right to change my opinion after the next 3-4 games.

Of the western teams in the league (of course wo SMU), I think we are the best right now, so it would have to be an eastern team not in Florida or Carolina. I'll go with UCONN now that Brimah is back. He scares me as an inside intimidater where we are weakest. Cincy is close second.

Cincinnati is the only team that I hope we avoid. We match up pretty well with everyone else. Brimah and never played well against us and has not really had any sort of game changing impact when we play UCONN. He's not an offensive threat like Ellis and Clark are. He blocks shots but I don't feel he has as much presence under the glass as Ellis does. He doesn't move well. If we take it at UCONN and push tempo, it's easy to get guys like Brimah and Purvis gassed (then again I don't think Purvis is starting now). Keys for us against anyone...if we can shoot 45% FG, 40% 3pt FG, and 70% FT we should win against anyone we play in the AAC

I'm confident that if TU plays well, we can beat UConn, Temple, Houston or Memphis on a netural court. Cinncy is my least favorite match-up. If TU can face Cinncy in the finals, both teams should be "in." I'm hoping TU can avoid the First Four, although with a good matchup, a W in the NCAA would be sweet, even in the First Four.
