Tulsa has rescheduled the Covid cancelled home game vs Northwestern State as the 2024 season opener.
We’ve also scheduled home games vs Missouri State in 2030 and 2032.

A few lower level teams. Just a couple of scrub teams we could schedule any time. The only thing I could see it accomplishing is filling an quickly approaching slot. Why is that huge?Huge
I was joking 🍻A few lower level teams. Just a couple of scrub teams we could schedule any time. The only thing I could see it accomplishing is filling an quickly approaching slot. Why is that huge?
My sarcasmeter was on the fritz.I was joking 🍻
I get your jitters but it will be ok. You are forgetting our series with OSU and Arkansas, as well as OU expressing interest in coming back. The abolishing of divisional play at the P5 level is a legitimate threat however. As they start playing only 2 or 3 non conference games a year, even our one game road deals to places like Ohio State are in long term peril. It won’t be long until they won’t play us at all.Wow it’s devolving
And TU ends up in the equivalent of the old d/2 mVC
At which point I No longer support nothing but make periodic monthly donations at a tenth if near jr die bdcorn
OU will play here in 2023. They won’t be back again until after we place twice down there in 30 & 33.I get your jitters but it will be ok. There’s talk of additional games last I asked.OU will play here in 2023. They won’t be back again until after we place twice down there in 30 & 33.
The game is changing. It’s becoming a streaming product. You buy your season tickets that way, not physical seats, unless you want them. Every home game is essentially the equivalent of a cable owned bowl game. Who is in the stands is irrelevant. Who they are playing is also irrelevant most of the time. You subscribe to see your team perform, not compete against someone else. It’s gonna kill the sport but the train has left the station.Yes I know the future schedules but they can buy out these games. If TU were to win one which is unlikely that would end this level of scheduling.
It’s NW La Missouri State etc before less than 5k fans
The program will die
It’s actually the opposite of your post. Starting next season, 2023, Tulsa will have one home game each season against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State or Arkansas in 5 of the following 6 seasons (through 2028).Wow it’s devolving
And TU ends up in the equivalent of the old d/2 mVC

This is likely to happen for some of the games with the coming consolidation. If they go to 20 or 24 team superconferences, then 2 non-conference games are likely the future. That isn’t financially viable for Oklahoma or Arkansas to burn those on road games at a small stadiums. They will buy out and schedule a home date or give us cash to come there. It’s on the schedule
By then the SEC will only okay mega conference teams with big tv cash and Ark can afford to drop a mil to cancel it
