UCONN Game Thread

Very proud of this team. It's already been an up and down season, as many expected. Came out today, shot terribly, but fought hard and secured a great win.

Most impressed with Igbanu and Taplin today.

Gutsy win!

Absolutely. Especially when we had horrible shooting from the floor and 3-pt range 36.1%, 19.2%. But excellent ft percentage 80% 12-15 and an acceptable # of TO's 11 to their 16.

Solid effort from Magnay and Igbanu 13 pts and 13 rbs.

Good effort from Taplin 13 pts 6 asst's to 2 TO's, 2 stls and 4 rbs. Add in some clutch shooting down the stretch by Birt, it was a much needed win

UConn is so much better with Adams. 18 pts, 7 rbs, 6 asst's and 2 stls. He hit some clutch shots also down the stretch but missed a couple that could have resulted in a UConn win.

If they hadn't lost Gilbert, Larrier and Diarra for the year they would be in the upper 3-4 in the conference. I'm happy for the win but wish we could play in Storrs without him like Houston did. Hopefully we'll be improved and shooting better in the rematch.

Nonetheless, we have to win all the games at home we can because it's going to be difficult to win at most places on the road. Let's hope we can win road games at Tulane, USF and ECU. All the rest will be difficult.

As many have said, with 10 new players, I just want to see this team continue to improve the rest of the way. Only losing Birt and gaining Jeffries (who was at the game), Scott and Joiner, we should be pretty good next year.

Not sure the stat line, but didn't seem as though we turned it over near as much as previous losses. Another key to the win
