UCF game thread

I don't like throwing players under the bus (though the academic angle here opens it up somewhat). The main guy making the bucks has ultimate responsibility.
I have always believed that coaches accept responsibility and the media points the blame or makes the excuses.

By this point in the season, the team should look like it has a clue. The team should look like the talent is there to compete in the future. And, the team should at least be able to pick off the bottom feeders of the American..

I dont see any of that.

Every away game the announcers talk about their discussions with Haith that day. He is working them hard. ( single digit losses, losing KES, lots of new players, record would have been 16-8 with a couple of points here and there, etc).

I just wish Haith spent more time coaching and less time making excuses. He has a long list of excuses, season after season. Nothing is ever his fault. The sad part is his bosses apparently believe those annual excuses.

It is not bad news to lose a coach after 2 years. Just means we made the NCAA. I would rather have three years though as that really makes a program.
The good news when losing a coach after two or three years after he has
taken our team to the NCAA, is that he is leaving the program in good
shape, which will be attractive to potential replacements....Was it hard
to replace Tubby, Self or Nolan? While we may not have done a very
good job of it, good programs attract good potential coaches.....

That may prove to be a problem in the current situation.....I would think
It would depend almost entirely on the new hire!!

Yeah, you're right....Trouble is, when you have so few set plays to start
with, and your future opponents have many more, you tend to not
progress, while they get better and better.....This has been the case for
Haith's entire career here (and for that matter, every where else.) Haith's
record on player development may be the worst I have ever seen....His
only recruits that have had anything close to timely success are Jucos
that started off at major programs....

Enough already.....Can we get rid of this guy and hire someone that loves
the game, and will develop the players he recruits.....Haith obviously
can't!! He has proven it over and over........
