There were only 2 people convicted out of thousands of rebels. Most of the rebels fled when Washington's forces came into the area.

Correct….and he pardoned the only people caught and convicted in connection with the rebellion. Those people who received pardons were actually convicted of treason btw

Sad that he felt he needed to do that because of the tone of the incoming administration.

Hmmm….If only there was some contextual way to differentiate people reacting to crowd support from those making fascist gestures….

Maybe if we were able to evaluate their political positions, rhetorical patterns, economic beliefs.

Maybe the ones who buddy up to dictators or those who have attempted to use violent coups to take political power, promote the persecution of minorities with little justification, argue for imperialism, lean on faux nationalist sentiment (despite not actually being from the nation they claim to admire) and SUPPORT FAR RIGHT POLITICAL PARTIES IN GERMANY….. might tend to lean more towards the Nazi side of the spectrum…. Macron doesn’t seem to match so well.

Words and deeds matter when trying to understand actions.

Or people who have taken authoritarian steps to strip their people of basic civil liberties like free speech similar to the likes of Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, etc..

….Like buying one of the largest social media companies in the world so they could drown out civil discourse with their own brand of racist, fascist propaganda and force users against their will to have to see it while suppressing dessenting opinions!?!?!?

We will see what happens there. Since you support the federal government forcing social media sites to silence the voices of those who disagree with them or speak on issues which paint them in a negative light, I’m sure you will be 100% supportive of the continued suppression of our first amendment rights. Never thought I would see the day when the left supported the end to our civil liberties. How things have changed

By comparison…..I’m not surprised at all that the right supports trampling civil liberties.

I also think it’s incredibly funny that you refuse to acknowledge that your side does it too, and in situations which are much less justifiable.

I challenge you to name a single time where I have advocated violating one’s civil liberties. I also challenge you to point out a single time where I’ve advocated pardons…from either side.
