TU Softball -- Week 3

Going with a new thread for this week's schedule/results.

The ladies travel to the Atlanta area this week for the Georgia Tech-Kennesaw State Crossover

Friday:
Double header with Kennesaw State, 1st game starting at 2:00pm

Saturday:
Double header with Georgia Tech 1st game starting at 11:00am

Sunday:
1 game vs. Georgia State at 9:00am

Friday's Results

Game 1

Tulsa 1
Kennesaw State 0

Tulsa scored the 1 run on 2 hits
Kennesaw State had 1 hit
0 errors for either team

Caitlin Sill pitched the complete game 1 hitter giving up 3 walks and had 3 Ks

Cierra Hughes went 1 for 3 and an RBI

Game 2

Kennesaw State 1
Tulsa 6

Tulsa offense scored the 6 runs on 11 hits
Kennesa State scored their 1 run on 7 hits
Each team committed 1 error

Jill Barrett went 3 for 3 scoring once
Julie Kernen went 2 for 3 with a double
Erica Sampson went 1 for 2 with 2 RBI

Bailey Erwin pitched the complete game allowing 1 ER on 7 hits with just 1 walk and 2 Ks. 3 hits and the run came in the last inning but was able to finish the job.

Tulsa scored the 11 runs on 10 hits
Tech scored the 3 runs on 7 hits and committed 2 errors

Jill Barrett went 2 for 5 with 2 RBIs and scored once with a HR
Shelby Blanton went 2 for 5 with 2 RBI and scored twice
Erica Sampan went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI and scored twice with a HR

Aimee Creger ptiched the complete game giving up 3 ER on 7 hits with 6 K's and 4 walks

Game 2

Georgia Tech 2
Tulsa 1

Tulsa scored the 1 run on 3 hits
Tech scored the 2 runs on 6 hits and committed 1 error

Haley Henshaw went 1 for 2 with the RBI

Caitlin Sill took the loss ptiching 4 innings giving up 2 ERs on 5 hits 1 K and 1 walk
Bailey Erwin pitched 3 innings giving up 1 hit with 1 K and 0 walks

I think 11-2, Nice start with most if not all games on the road.

Tulsa scored the 8 runs on 11 hits and had 3 errors
Georgia State scored the 2 runs on 3 hits and had 1 error

Jill Barrett went 2 for 4 with a double and scored once and had 2 RBI
Shelby Blanton went 2 for 4 scoring twice
Erica Sampson went 2 for 2 with a double and a 3 RBI HR, and walked twice

Jill Roye witn 2 for 4 with 3 RBI

Aimee Creger got the win pitching 5 innings with 2 ER on 2 hits and walked 6 with 10 Ks
Bailey Erwin pitched the fianl 2 innings with 0 runs on 1 hit, 3 Ks and 1 walk.

This makes them 13 -2 on the season and the first games at home coming up this weekend.
