A former Nebraska and Miami running back recently signed with Tulsa shortly after entering the transfer portal. 5-11, 190-pound Ajay Allen made the announcement on Friday afternoon.

What a coincidence ! Allen comes in at the same time Hunt and Ellison leave..............

I sure hope we can keep him past the mid-season transfer window.
No kidding. Signs with Nebraska. Transfers to Miami. Transfers and signs with FIU then transfers to TU shortly after he transferred to FIU.

We obviously pay more than FIU.

Our academic performance package looks significantly better, after taxes, than what some schools in CUSA can offer role players in revenue sharing. He's likely getting more than that, but how the deal is structured these days can mean much more than what you are getting paid for players in our typical price range. FIU definitely has funding issues. Without a rapper paying for his name on the stadium, the program as a whole might have folded a few years ago.

Also, with so many school changes, its possible, I certainly dont know, that he may be at risk of academic progress issues that could jeopardize playing time in the fall. Coming out of FIU into a private school can sometimes resolve those problems, again I stress if any, in the early summer.

As a whole the class is rounding out nicely with some positive pick ups including this player.

I would have liked to have seen more documented production from some of the players. That appears to be the best indicator of whether they are going to contribute as we look back at who has transferred in and excelled and who has kinda hung out for a few years and cashed some checks. Montgomery in particular at the end brought in some players from big programs who did nothing there and here.

I hope all these guys are willing to prove themselves. They have a lot to prove and maybe only one chance left.
