TU picked 4th in AAC; Woodard & Harrison earn recognition

Tulsa was picked to finish fourth in the American Athletic Conference Preseason Poll, and senior guards James Woodard and Shaquille Harrison earned preseason recognition.

I find it hysterical that Shaq GOodwin and Amidah Brimah are on the 2nd team. Goodwin has not played up to his potential since he got to Memphis and since Pastner is still coach, I have serious doubts about him all of a sudden being able to do so. Brimah is tall, blocks a lot of shots, but we effectively limited him in the game at TU and in the AAC tournament. Maybe on the all-defensive team for Brimah but I don't see him really having a great all around game.

You may be right, but Brimah scares the devil out of me with his physical ability. The difference between the leagues we used to play in and the AAC is the play of the bigs.

The entire UCONN team scares me this year. But Octavius Ellis at Cincy is probably the biggest matchup problem we'll see this season. The guy is unstoppable in the post and he can guard our bigs easily
