TULSA, Okla. - After a 1-1 week, the UConn men's basketball team continues American Athletic Conference play when it travels to Tulsa to take on the Golden Hurricane on Thursday, Jan. 14 at the Reynolds Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN2 with radio coverage on the UConn/IMG Radio Network.

UConn (11-4) fell to Temple, 55-53, on Jan. 5 at the XL Center in Hartford before bouncing back with a thrilling 81-78 victory over Memphis on Saturday night at Gampel Pavilion. Graduate guard Sterling Gibbs (Scotch Plains, N.J.) tallied a season-best 26 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while sophomore Daniel Hamilton (Los Angeles, Calif.) chipped in 12 points and a team-best eight rebounds to help the Huskies improve to 2-1 in league play.

The Huskies are 3-1 all-time against the Golden Hurricane in a series that dates back to the 1978-79 season. The two programs met on the court three times a season ago, including a 47-42 Husky win in the semifinals of The American championship held in Hartford.

Tulsa enters the tilt with a 10-6 overall record and a 2-2 mark in conference play. The Golden Hurricane returns all five starters from last season's 23-win team, led by a senior guard duo of Shaquille Harrison (16.6 ppg) and James Woodard (16.3 ppg).

Connecticut has won both of its road matchups in 2015-16 and owns a 17-16 record in true road games under fourth-year head coach Kevin Ollie. Following the game, UConn will head to Texas for a Sunday showdown with Houston set for 2 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

As a team, UConn ranks second in The American and 28th nationally with a .486 shooting percentage and also checks in in the top-25 in field goal defense (.383).
