The Iona Gaels won their 3rd straight game and improved to 3-2 (2-0 MAAC) on the season after defeating the Marist Red Foxes, 101-66, this past Friday. The Gaels held the Red Foxes to 37.9% from the field and forced Marist into committing 17 turnovers. Leading the way for Iona was A.J. The Tulsa Golden Hurricane dropped to 5-3 (0-0 AAC) on the season after being defeated by the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles, 70-68, this past Saturday. Tulsa allowed Obi Emegano of Oral Roberts to hit the game winning jumping with just 1.9 seconds left in the game. The Gaels are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win however, just 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Golden Hurricane are 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up loss and just 1-8 ATS in their last 9 home games.

Iona had a rough start to their season has they lost by a combined 45 points against Valparaiso and Oregon State, however, haven’t had an issues with their offense over their last three games as they are averaging 98 ppg in that span. Tulsa has lost three of their last four games and has struggled a bit offensively in that span. This should be one of the more entertaining games of the night as it should be a high-scoring affair featuring some great talent in Iona’s A.J. English and Tulsa’s Shaquille Harrison and James Woodward. I’m a little unsure of this Iona team as of right now, however, as Tulsa struggled on the defensive end, I think A.J. English the Gaels will be able to score enough in this one to keep it within the number. Take Iona and the points.
