NBC Sports' Rob Dauster: "The Golden Hurricane smacked around Tulane on Wednesday night, keeping pace with SMU atop the American standings. Avoiding that loss was almost as big as landing a win over Temple over the weekend. Tulsa's at-large bid will be earned in their final three games, as they play at Memphis, Cincinnati and at SMU. On the season, Tulsa has just two top 50 wins (both Temple), four top 100 wins and one really bad loss at Oral Roberts. They're going to be in the last four in or first four out of every bracket projection you see."

CBS Sports' Jerry Palm: Palm lists Tulsa in his 'Work To Do' section and says, "Tulsa completed the season sweep of Temple, but those two wins are still the Golden Hurricane's best of the year. In the end, they will probably need more than that." In his Daily Bubble report, Palm says, "Tulsa needs quality wins, but until then, having an easy one against Tulane will have to do. The Golden Hurricane won 76-55 over the Green Wave."

ESPN analyst Joe Lunardi has Tulsa as one of the first four out.

USA Today's Shelby Mast lists Tulsa as one of the last four in, with the Hurricane playing Stanford in a play-in game.

Sporting News: "Hey, Tulane won at Cincinnati so this wasn't a complete gimmie. But Tulsa (20-7, RPI 35) won this without breaking much of a sweat."

ESPN's Eamonn Brennan before Tulsa's win over Tulane: "Temple's .60 points-per-possession performance may have been ugly for the Owls, but it was exactly what Tulsa needed. After a 10-0 start to league play, the Golden Hurricane looked more like a tropical sto-- actually, no. We were going to make a weather joke there, but no. The point is, Tulsa was on the wrong side of the bubble before Sunday's win, and that's probably still the case -- the 55-39 final surely hurt Temple more than it helped Frank Haith's team. But it gave Tulsa a win in the first of what may end up being a decisive three-game stretch against tourney-worthy teams in the American. The last two, against Cincy and SMU, come next week. In the meantime, Tulsa gets Tulane (at home) and Memphis (on the road)."
