TU holds off Kansas State 61-54 in defensive struggle -- story linked

In a tight defensive battle, Tulsa came up with key plays at the end to hold off a quality Kansas State squad, 61-54.

We won due to three things:

1. Much better effort.
2. Rebounding
3. Shooting (threes and FT)

We did NOT win because of defense. Even Coach Weber said as much

"The first half we ran offense and got good corner shots and we just missed them," Kansas State coach Bruce Weber said. "Those corner threes were open, we didn't make them, then I think the second half we panicked a bit and forced some action, got a little uncharacteristic.":
