OK, time to shoot the messenger: Minneapolis Tribune on candidate truthiness.

Truth will be considered shooting the messenger. Truth: the fact checking gap in honesty is largely due to which statements are chosen to be evaluated and the subjective nature of the evaluation. The Washington Post's fact checker even rated Carly Fiorina's claim that she started as a secretary and became CEO as "three Pinocchios" even though that statement is demonstrably true. Messenger dead because obviously people never evaluate things subjectively.
