Trick play compilation video

Somewhat related note, Michigan State has a few in this highlight reel

Did ya notice how many times Mich St was in that piece?
Someone might wanna show that to Coach Monty

Sadly that was the only way our offense could score after the injuries started to pile up. So embarrassing. I didn’t even realize how many there were.

There were a few more that didn’t work FWIW that didn’t make the video. Sigh.

Though in a general sense you should always be on the lookout for a trick play with Dantonio.

Some of those weren’t so much tricky as they were hard running. And when did a jump pass to a tight end become a trick play? That should be part of every teams short yardage playbook.

My fave was that toss by the field goal holder. Because of the angle, I had to watch it two or three times to make sure the kicker didn't get a foot on the ball.

I feel like with as much as teams over play the run on us, a flea flicker could work if we didn't always rush out of the shotgun. Maybe on a 3rd or 4th and short around midfield.

Also,

Where is my video with every trick play that got blown to hell? Todd Graham was tremendous at having failed trick plays. Swinging gate anyone?

Shovel passes are some of my favorite plays. However, this is why college football needs to change their rule on when a player is considered down. Technically, once the play becomes a non placekick play, the holder should be considered down.

Michigan St. is totally going to fake a punt on us and score a TD

TU had a (very) few last year. I recall 2 or 3 flips to Keenan Johnson (a frustrated HS QB) who passed for completions. Would expect to see that again this yr.
