Thoughts on DOGE?

Y TY SIR
No you actually mostly have to cut your way out of a deficit. Receipts don’t change that much and are more impacted by economic growth or contraction than tax rates at any given time.
NOT TRUE. YOU CAN ABSOLUTELY GROW YOUR WAY OUT OF A DEFICIT!!!

& we wouldn’t even have to grow we already have it. See my above two posts re: US $150T & why liberals are misled. That be you on the latter.

Nice ad hominem snark. But if that is best you have….
You should be happy today. Supreme Court overruled the Obama District Court judge and granted access to all social security records. No clue how much fraud and waste will be found but at least now we get an audit.

A real audit would be excellent, but DOGE’s young programmers’ record so far only results in headlines, errors, and added expense to correct the damage.

An audit by incompetents isn’t much of an audit.

Not DOGE but you don’t see someone steal $1B everyday.

Medicare IG has a long list of suspected fraud that so far DOGE has ignored.
Can Medicare go after fraud itself or do they have to refer to DOJ?
$1B is a lot of dough but pales in comparison to the $80B a year that Advantage plans cost over traditional Medicare. But DOGE won’t look at it because health insurers donate too much to offend.

So we cut a bunch of money from scientific research funding so we could…. Spend a bunch of money to deport a bunch of people who were helping keep prices low by providing cheap labor….. while simultaneously angering the surrounding communities so much that we have to pay $134 million to send in a several hundred military members to support our economically burdensome decisions.

How much are we going to pay in interest on the national debt for these shenanigans? Was it all worth it?

PS how does it cost out 134 million to deploy a few thousand people for a couple weeks? That’s like 50K per person.

You wonder why the national debt has exploded…. That kind of bonkers logistical cost for military ops is part of it. I hope California sends Trump the bill for the national guard units.
