If we are concerned about Chinese education camps, we should be aware that the US and Cananda ran them for native Americans well into the 20th century with exactly that goal. That doesn't justify the Chinese but may explain why they really don't care about what the US has to say about the subject.

So what is China’s excuse for not caring what the English, French, etc…think about the concentration camps? Is the plan to go back thousands of years of human history to justify the mistreatment of minorities ? WATU….you plan on using the holocaust to defend China’s state sponsored murder of dissidents?

I don’t understand the logic of “a country should be able to do whatever they want without criticism because at some point in history another country did a bad thing as well”. Yet this is WATU’s response every time China is criticized for human rights violations. Suppose the US should be absolved from our history of slavery because the practice of enslaving people had been going on for thousands of years across the world prior to coming to the US?
