SDSU is a bunch of Grey Hounds that like to run. Give them a crack they will drive the paint all night. They like to score inside off drives in the paint. Their players are very lean but not much beef. They have some height inside but not much behind them. Get their inside players in foul trouble and they will be forced to go small. The problem with that is they maybe better small than the combination of big/small. They like to shoot the three but not very good at it. They do have one white guy who has the stroke for the three. They don't have a long bench either. If Tulsa can get SDSU's inside in foul trouble Tulsa will easily be able to go over SDSU's defense. SDSU likes to play in your defense. SDSU was easily better than Southern Miss even with a shorter bench.

So Miss was terrible. But they hung around for 3/4 of the game and made SDSU work hard to put them away at the end. SDSU has a ton of players who can score but they are terribly inconsistent. I bet this might be a lot like the Illinois State game for us.
This is not one of Fisher's better teams. They can't shoot at all and they don't rebound like they usually do. They still play pretty good defense but not like they have the past few years.
