Powell lowered the rates for the election trying to throw Kamala a lifeboat (he should be fired for this alone.)
Now, when we actually could use lowering of the FED rate, he ignores it.
The left loves to claim the FED isn’t part of the USA government, well their .gov website says they’re mandated by law to optimize US monetary policy & clearly they are a partisan JOKE who will destroy the U.S. economy if it means making Trump look bad.
Same with the mainstream media, Powell will abscond the responsibilities of his job title JUST TO MAKE THE PRESIDENT LOOK BAD, ignoring the needs of the country.

The notion shared by the fringe-level economists that adore Powell at the Fed with liberal weisenheimers that the FED is independent & not of the U.S. government can be repeated indefinitely; doesn’t make it so. They probably associate the lowering of interest rates being tied more directly to the stock market.
Of course, it has absolutely nothing to do with the stock market & more to do with the U.S. government than they’d ever admit even following a 5 year graduate education on the matter.
I don’t think he should lower the interest rates because of anything so short-sighted as causing a recession or crashing the market. I believe the majority of the market is a poor reflection of true value economic value, however the lowering of rates should improve the U.S. economy’s necessary reengagement with production & its ability to commence an increasing manufacturing output. It also fuels job growth.
I believe a real crash would still be likely. However, this is maneuver I believe is not just necessary to be congruent with US foreign policy to maximize economic output, rather I believe it is legally required that this measure be taken as it is the most likely to potentially AVOID both a major crash of the markets & severe recession.

There is no inherent value in a country taxing its citizens if it can gain revenue from its global trading partners. Surely, having a voluntary system with benefits is ideal.
I know this is unfashionable to the low life virtue signalers who think the only way to justify the amount of wealth they’ve ripped off from others in their daily workload is to convince others that they care more than them about some obscure cause if they can convince them it’s altruistic. I’m of the opinion those people need to get rolling onboard with reciprocity or simply get rolled on.

Thank god Trump made enough semi appropriate nominations to his cabinet, that even they are telling him to back down with Powell, and with the Tariff wars, especially with China. Of course, there was the intervention meeting set up by a core of major retailer CEO's with Trump. It was the first time a modern President during or after WWII, has ever had an intervention over the policies they were trying to enact. Nixon had a permanent intervention performed by Congress. But that wasn't over policy, that was over illegal acts. Everything he does is inadequate, and he is only in office due to his feelings of inadequacy. A sad existence that is harming the world.
He should realize what a miserable excuse for a President he is, due to him having the first business intervention in the history of the modern Presidency, and relinquish his office. But that will never happen, because that would require self-awareness. He has such an over encompassing narcissism guiding and running his personality which would stop him from ever seeing this. He doesn't have the ability to see that his policies are juvenile, dangerous, unconstitutional, immature, and destabilizing to democracy. His actions remind me of my personal favorite treatise on stupidity by John Cleese.

Trump has had 13 Cabinet level appointees(in just over 1 term as President) who have the worst experience possible for a cabinet level appointee. He is not cleaning the swamp when 13 of his appointees were very recently employed lobbyists. He did this first term with 5 appointees, and this term with 8 so far. It's bad enough when through with the appointment cabinet members go make money as lobbyists. What's worse is when the go almost directly from a lobbying job to a cabinet level appointee. You know they don't leave their lobbying position at the door of the White House when they gain appointment. Obama had 5 in two terms, and Bush had 3 in two terms.
Obama put a regulation into law through an EO, that forbid himself and everybody else from appointing someone who had worked as a lobbyist within the last two years. Trump wrote that out of existence as soon as he hit the office the first term. Granted Biden's track record on hiring former lobbyists wasn't that great, & some of Biden's appointees used loopholes to not be registered as a lobbyist when they were doing some lobbying work without having to register as one. But that doesn't excuse the trend that Trump started. And I doubt Biden approached anything close to 13 in his 1 term. Who knows how many Trump will appoint in the future.
What that means is the Trump administration is enriching itself beyond the bounds of previous administrations, and consorting with special interest donors & special interest corporation's desires such that the wealthy are getting wealthier during Trumps terms than ever before.
And we're not even addressing things like Trump's Whitehouse Lawn ad campaign for Tesla's, etc. And Trump and his associates and appointees didn't really divest themselves of any of their business interests enough to even have to hide their goings on. When they get advance notice of Trumps tariff tirades of running the stock market up and down, it doesn't feel like it matters whether they take advantage during Trumps administration. If it didn't matter before, why would it matter now.
