And Temple is probably excited to have us as their homecoming opponent.
Temple has shown some improvement, and I expect a close loss.
How have they improved. They are 1-5, and their only win is against Utah St who is 1-4, and whose only win was against a Robert Morris. They had a close loss to Coastal Carolina, but they are not that great this year. They are 4-2, but their wins are against really crappy teams. Army scored one less TD, and they scored one more TD against Army. At best they are marginally better than last year. They aren't any better as far as I can tell. The game will be close. They aren't any better than Arkansas St or La Tech, who we went 1-1 with. It will be a close game. I think it could go either way.
Not that UConn is very good but last week Temple was poised to beat them when this occurred:
Jordan Wright recovered a fumbled ball and ran 96 yards into the end zone on the final play of the game to give UConn a 29-20 victory over Temple on Saturday. On fourth-and-goal with 3 seconds left, Temple quarterback Tyler Douglas was being pushed by two running backs toward the end zone.
It's been a long week. I could use the endorphin rush of a win. I don't care who we're playing.
I believe that Francis has one TD pass since the second half of the Arkansas State game. Worrisome that Temple can pass the ball. Their QB has 9 TD's and 2 Int's. The ASU game was an important measure of TU's ability to win on the road against a semi-decent opponent. The offensive collapse began in the second half that you mention goldenhurricane2.
