Let’s take a moment to appreciate how special this season is for him as a PG. Five games in he has an assist to TO ratio of 5.38:1. That is almost unheard of!!!

He’s a quiet floor general and, IMO, his ridiculous numbers aren’t as apparent because he’s not a showboater or vocal on the floor. And that’s fine by me. He’s a special player.

I hear his ankle isn’t too bad. Out tomorrow probably and we probably shouldn’t need him Monday.

He’s been incredible. The ideal 4th year senior who’s improved every year. 63% inside the arc. 39% outside. And he assists literally half the other baskets that we score when he’s on the floor. He’s headed for 1st team all-conference if he can keep it up.

It will be a big disappointment for me if this team does not compete for the AAC title and make the NCAA from what I have seen so far. And Taplin is a huge ingredient in the mix.

We have to play at a high level against mid level teams and not lose any games where we are favored.
