Kinda strange hearing the words “Coach Switzer” at a press conference and not see Brother Barry up there.

He’s young, but that’s a good thing for a week.

At the risk of reading too much into his comments, it sounds like the players need a break, so having a young person lead them for the last game is a good thing.

He’s clearly well coached at communication on camera and organized in his thoughts. Maybe the best Tulsa has ever had on TV, at least for a debut.

I’m not sure I would give him control of a multi-million dollar business at this point, but he clearly has a very bright future ahead of himself, based on this first impression.

He clarified play calling responsibilities and that’s certainly interesting.

If he isn’t retained by the new staff, and isn’t made the head coach permanently, he clearly demonstrated the maturity, professionalism and good will you would want to see from someone in a tough situation like he is in now.

I wish him the very best in the future.
