Quantitative easing started at the end of the last recession. It’s not simply Covid that has led to this.

Look at the 5 year chart of US money supply and get back to me. February 2020 is the date we beginning haphazardly printing money. Inflation grew out of control. As a result the Fed raises rates almost 500 bases points in less than a year. Everything we’re now seeing was predictable (unless your Yellen of Biden). Hell….I predicted it.
