Spring practice starts Sunday for football.
This is the first spring practice in awhile where I have more than passing interest.
With so many frosh and sophomores playing last year, there are some positions that are jammed packed with competition. Which is a good thing.
There are some boys in the secondary that had better have a break out spring and/or summer, or they could be going from part-time starter down to prep team just on the numbers game alone. It would be great to see Bunch and Green hit the next level.
Hopefully with the new transfer QB, the DBs will be practicing (at least part time) against realistic passing situations and we can figure out who is who back in the secondary.
And the backup situation at RB will be interesting as well. Plenty of candidates. No prime contender.
If I had to pick a player who needs to emerge, it is Edmiston. Lots of potential there, but he enters this practice session as a veteran. The time for potential is over.
