Huge win for SMU
Shake is really good.
Shake has shown me in no way is he a “good kid” when talking about how he talks about TU and where he went to school and for what reasons. Get off your soapbox.
Averaging 12 a game as a true freshman pretty good. A huge miss by the coaching staff, if he wanted to attend TU. My guess is we tried on Chargois but failed. Too bad looks like he might be a very good player.Chargois played at Union. Landrum (#20 for SMU) played at Tulsa Central. Landrum is smaller than Frankamp is for Wichita State and he looked small next to Taplin.
Chargois looks good in short stretches but he’s still out of shape and tires easily.

My understanding is From day one he said he wanted to go to school away from town. Lots of kids want the freedom of being away from home.Averaging 12 a game as a true freshman pretty good. GO TU!!!!

Weird to go to a school that isn’t very far away and is a hated rival of your home town team. He’s going to catch crap if he ever tries to get a job here. There aren’t a ton of SMU alumni hiring back home. You would think parenting would intervene at some point. Someone else good would have offered.
Yeah that whole situation with the other kid and the two-sport debacle really put a dark cloud over both kids in my opinion... I don’t want anyone here that talks that much crap about TU.
Larry was gone by Chargois’ AAU summer. As to Shake yo booty, it’s Larry Brown. What do you expect?
I don't like it when hometown kids don't go to Tulsa, but that is their choice. However, they need to show some respect to their hometown team. Say some good things about them.
If the kid has shown Tulsa respect, I haven't seen or heard it. What that being the case, I will choose to root for him to miss every shot he takes.
Pat Birt's intimidation of him in win at SMU was one of the classic moments in recent TU hoops history. Completely intimidated him. Classic. Also classic was him missing in NCAA to lose the game in Tulsa. Classic because it was in Tulsa.
Hint to Tulsa: Don't give him any open shots. Don't sag off of him. Tulsa has done this in games at TU. One time nobody was within 20 feet of him. He can shoot. So make him earn it.
The SMU game this year is very winnable for Tulsa. No reason at all to lose that game.
He did miss virtually every other shot after that game...Pat could have missed every shot the rest of his career(he sorta did) and I’d still love him after he whipped Milton’s scrawny @** in Moody
