SMU game thread

Rachal is trying to get involved too much. He doesnt need to be taking 3s or dribbling wildly in the paint. Just slow down

It’s a dead heat on three point percentage now, 32% Smoo and 33% TU.

Nice to see Horne finally hit another 3. Now if Brandon could just find his shot again.

Some fantastic shots the last couple of minutes. Hopefully we can keep frustrating them and build on this 12 point lead. I’m never comfortable the wat teams get hot against us.

I’m enjoying seeing the :huffy: shirts being worn by our players on the bench.

Rachal just needs to slow down, play defense, let the game come to him.

We need to get him back to form.

Big, big win. This gets us closer to first, closer to the bye and pushes one of our competitors lower.

Good bounceback win. Going to be interesting the next few weeks

I really do miss living in Tulsa and being able to talk trash to our hometown traitors like Chargois when SMU visits.
He barely gets an meaningful minutes anymore. From my standpoint watching SMU play, he’s just a lazy defender. He still doesn’t move his feet. At that point he becomes a liability on the court. Hope he’s majoring in something a little more substantive than the usual SMU athlete fall back “College Studies”.

Yeah, but with Igbanu scoring 20+ on the inside, our breakaway baskets
after our steals, and our defense, we can win almost all of our games
shooting 33+/-% from three....SMU can't...They never have been a great
defensive team under Janko, and despite their offensive talent, that
separates them from the top four or five in the conf....

BTW, we complain about the World not covering TU sports events very
well....Today's Dallas Morning News covered the SMU-TU game on page
10 of the sports section...In very small print! It was listed with the 'also
ran' games in the area, and didn't have a box score (or hardly any real
comments about the flow of the game)....

I still don't think Rachal is very close to being full speed....One big tip off
is that he is hardly competing for offensive rebounds at all....That is one
of his fortes when healthy....

It's great to be relevant again in the AAC....A really competitive and
interesting BB conference.....I love it!!!

Here's hoping he (Rachal) can return to full health in a short time frame....
Not much time before Tulane....A definite 'trap' game, but I think we will
pull away in the second half.....
