SMU has three players shooting over 40% from three on the season. Bad matchup for a team who struggles guarding the perimeter.
We've got a team shooting over 48% from three and we play a soft zone?!?!

The Cincy game took away a lot of incentive. Playing at about 60% energy than Cincy game.
Yeah, that over and back was a bad call. The ball was in the front court the whole time and Wheeler landed in the front court after catching it.
I underestimated how good SMU is, i hate them but they've played well tonight on both sides. We got punched in the mouth in the 1st half and became a dog wth it's tail tucked between it's legs. Yuck.

Well TU proved the old adage.... If you play to lose you will. Maybe one of five single worst performances of a TU team ever. Players were a no show and coaching staff was also a no show. Hard to win when everyone takes the night off except Etou!
Feel sorry for him. TU needs a consistent outside shooter, one that even on a bad night can get 12 to 14 points and on a great night can score 25-30 points. Unfortunately , that player isn't on TU's campus.
The Charlotte transfer a shot 44% FG and 41% from 3 as a freshman there.
He should replace Birt next year and give us a consistent 3 point threat.
His sister Terryn has an offer from TU. She's in the 2018 class.

We will be better than .500. Worst finish we could have would prolly be 10-8. My guess is 11-7, or an outside shot at 12-6.

It's sad that an over inflated ego of a borderline D-1 football player could so negatively affect TU basketball recruiting.
That entire issue was bizarre...but, for whatever reason, it left Shake with an extremely negative opinion of TU. I work with a lot of people in Owasso who grew close to Jaylen and Shake. They still think TU treated Jaylen poorly...truly baffling to me.
With that being said, I'm not sure TU would have been in his final list...
